Bio

Isabelle Cluchat is a self taught French artist living and working in Brussels Belgium.

She attended the Van der Kelen school in Brussels specialized in oil painting of false woods, marbles and trompe-l’oeil.

Her works explores bold contrasts, rhythmic patterns, navigating geometrical shapes in order to create her own fluid abstracted interpretation of a feminine form.

“I’m a self-taught artist. Abstraction & geometrical are the expression of my main concerns : self empowerment, feminity and motherhood”

Isabelle’s vision emanate from all that surrounds her : an eye for details through the rigorous geometric shapes, combined with the exuberance of very bright colors.

With the simplicity of the circle, her work challenges and withdraw, both bold and subtle, there’s a mixture of depth and contrasts, soft lines and methodical shapes revealing intricate patterns set against gilded negative space.

Cluchat’s abstract work seeks to convey a nuanced code of feminine strength and suppleness with tantalizing color harmonies; a momentous conversation to fall between itself and the viewer.

Creativity is an endless world which is deeply satisfying to explore.
